the week without tnd

So i was trying to figure out my dinner plans for this evening when it occurred to me that it's Thursday... TND! oh wait. you have all left me to fend for myself (if i starve its your faults!) so maybe you are all on the boat right now making dinner plans and calling it "TND" but it's not!! 

so anyway tonights TND will be taking place in my house... where i will probably make myself a sandwich. 

V-day all the Way

So, i assume this week will be a lovely romantic evening with me, sange & dave. I'm sure we will spend the entire time talking about cruise preperations & our hatred of jenny & chach.

I'm going to pick this place that i drive past all the time & have been borderline curious about. I figure, we shouldn't really pick anywhere nice since there will prob. be v-day crowds around. So, my pick will be the Chef's Table, its on portion road going east right after the mini golf place. I see signs that say free app & dessert with dinner & all you can drink wine/beer....i dont know what are the conditions for this, but we shall find out.

In the interest of ensuring proper preparation for Lost can occur, we shall go to Giorgio's on Smithtown Blvd. next to the Nesconset post office. I enjoy this place, and it is where my family usually gets its pizza. Peace

Patio Pizza

hey guys! unfortunately my tnd post will not be as funny or as racially offensive as danielles post from last week... however it is in purple which is fun!

it's a small, family run pizza place with a cute restaurant attached. i've been there like 100 times and everything on the menu is delicious... ANDDDD they give you free unlimited garlic knots on the table. i can't find a menu online, but basically they have everything you'd think an italian restaurant would have at normal prices. see you there :O)

Man Who Farts in Church Sits in Own Pew

I'd like to take a second to say that both lingo & liz will be missed greatly from these future meals. I can only hope that they read the blog and weep over the food they will never taste.

This week's meal will be at the China Tea House on Middle Country Road, it's the little blue house looking building in the Shop Rite Parking lot, if you are traveling east it will be on your right hand side.

I've been here a bunch of times before, I figured we'd mix it up a little, there's been a lot of italian, greek & meat the last few TNDs. This place has an all you can eat sushi menu for 20 bucks if you so choose to go that route, however they also have very traditional chinese meals (prepared much much better than the buffets)

In honor of the Chinese affair:
A Chinese couple get married & she is a virgin. On their wedding night, she cowers naked under the sheets as her husband undresses. He climbs in next to her and tries to be reassuring "My darling, I know this is your first time, and that you are frightened, but I assure you, I will give you whatever you want, I will do whatever you want, however you want. My darling, what do you want?"
"I want the number 69, I have heard about" she replies
Her husband looks at her in shock & confusion; "You want the chicken and broccoli?"

Anyway, We're going to The Radio Grill on Terry Rd. in Smithtown aka portion, aka horse block, aka smithtown blvd, aka CR 63. I've heard good things and it's been open forever, so I figure it can't be all that bad. It is my first pick of a place that I have no been to, so I have truly sought to embody the spirit of TND in this new year.

Apparently the owner is a DJ on Q104.3 or something, so maybe Randy from BLI will be there and we can commit a hate crime together.

The New Age and Face of TND

With the coming of the new year, and the inconvenience of some holidays (I'm look at you Christmas and New Years Day), as well as some graduate school issues the frequent diners of TND realized one thing... we would not be able to gather and gorge on a Tuesday.
Perplexing this was until it was realized that we CAN still have "TND" but the T wound no longer stand for Tuesday, but yet will stand for another glorious day of the week.

So now announcing for the first time: Welcome to THURSDAY NIGHT DINNER!

This complication was already taken care of last week when fed at Aegean Cafe II, located on Hawkins Ave. This was Tony's pick now that he his home between semesters.

I keep hearing great things about it and I've wanted to try it for awhile so I'm very excited. Update: Grill Room is still an option

Last tuesday we wound up at Bruno's... They had bacon cheeseburgers.  I was happy.  However ive heard really good things about the Grill Room.  Although I am not one of the original members of TND I stand true to the belief that TND is to find restaurants that are nice and akin to NBC reruns in 1999.  (if you haven't been there, then its new to you new to you.)  So lets do it guys!  Lets not wait 8 years to find our new Seinfeld, lets find it now!  Cause Bruno's is good, but Seinfeld is better.  Let TND become must eat TV (mmm tv dinner)

There is no way in hell that I am Dressing Up for dinner

In case you did not read the title of the blog, let me take a moment to clarify...There is no way in hell that I am dressing up for dinner.

In fact, if i have to eat with the Wolverine, Subzero and a ladybug (as cute and lovable as she may be) i might just have to go home.

That being said i would like to go to dinner at Gianna's Pizzeria

my parents get their pizza there and the menu was out and it looks really good, they have paninis and wraps and pastas and stuff. My parents also said it was sorta small but that they could stick tables together.

also it is right by my house, so jenny can come over after and we can plan our birthday extravaganza....and if anyone dresses up (dave cough cough) i can pretty much run home.

California Pizza
