Butter My Field - Remix

Adjustment due to Lost...

Soooo seeing as TND was moved for me I guess it's only fair that I actually show up for this one. How's about we go to this place called Old Street Pub...looks good, so let's give it a shot....I'm hoping everything is covered in butter.

http://www.oldstreetonline.com/

It's on mainstreet in Smithtown.

For those of you who don't know, one of my many nicknames is butterfield, due to the frequency that I butter my field....imagine a new born baby's head.

You are Missed

All this talk about asians has made me long for our dear Dan Ling. I hope wherever he is, he is eating dinner.

*Note

Long Duk Dong is NOT to be confused with the small asian boy a.k.a "Shorty" from Temple of Doom. In my opinion, so far the best Jones Film. Can't you just hear him now? "Okey Dokey Dr. Jones. Hold on to your potatoes!"

Big Long Dong

BLDs. Kim used to work there, so she approves of BLDs and everyone knows how tony couldn't stop talking about BLDs...i mean come on, does anyone not love a good BLD? I know i can never say no. Just thinking about BLDs now is making my mouth water...

So it's on hawkins. I'm sure the three people going tonight will know where it is. oooo...a threesome, how cozy.

This is Long Duk Dong from 16 candles. He was the closest thing to a true "dong" i feel i can post.

April Showers

Hooooooooooola,
I return from a missed TND due to my travels to the Dominican Republic. But fear not for I have returned with a pick. We have not done a Greek restaurant in a while soooooooo here it is.

The Mykonos Greek Cafe in Smithtown. The exact address is 45 Route 111 Smithtown, New York 11787. I believe it is in the shopping center on the east side of 111, that contains 4th World Comics, and Uncle Giuseppe's grocery store.

See ya there!

My Apologies

Keepin' it Simple

Well I have no idea how to post a picture on this blog, and so far I am very impressed with everyone else doing it.

Anyway it is my pick and I am going to make it simple. Joe's Pizza. We should all know where it is but if you don't its on Union Ave. in the Walbaum's shopping center. There is a "valuable coupon" on the website, but hopefully since we know the owners son we will score some free stuff. Time will tell.

See ya tomorrow!

I'm Back...

After a brief hiatus I will return to action this Thursday, and by action I mean eating and looking at Agunzo's boobies. Anyway, I digress...I know its restaurant week in Bayshore, but I don't think I could make it out there in time tomorrow. Furthermore, apparently a week is 9 days in Bay shore so next TND is the last day, someone else can pick a place there.

Now on to what you all came to read...we will be going to JT's Corner Cafe on Smithtown Blvd in Nesconset. It is near Giorgio's and across from Maria's by my house. Dave, Tony and I ate a wonderful breakfast there many moons ago. If the dinner is as good as the bfast and lunch, I think we'll like this place

P.S. I know you guys haven't seen me in awhile, so i had someone at work take a picture of me to share.

What did Suchi A say to Sushi B?

Wasabi!

Get it?

Anyways, i wasn't sure what i was in the mood for and i asked dearest Jenny and she suggested sushi, which when i think about it, i'm always in the mood for. I'm picking Kotabuki, the back is on 111 and the front is like 347, so you figure it out. But it's in the AC moore shopping center, there is a shop rite and a panera and i actually think everyone knows where it is so perfect.

I believe the above picture can be classified as "spicy sushi" ohhhhhh!!!!!

I would also like to add that this will be the :siblings edition: We discussed this last week & my bro as well as chach's sibs are a go, so yay.

La Grova

No unfortunately it does not mean "the grover" in spanish, so our spaztastic furry friend Grover will not be serving us.  I believe he had a conference call to take care of (ff to 1:10).  Anyway  this place is at 2799 middle country road, lake grove.  I have never been there but i will have a 25 dollar coup.  Hopefully this time it will be more successful. Grova!

Also i would like to add that the French Cuisine provided by Bobbique was exquisite

Tropical Recall & This Week's Pick

Well it is about time the dinner of 2/21 is discussed. Dispite Jenny's post there was a TND. This TND is a historic first, for it was not located on Long Island, in NY State or on dry land. This TND took place on the Norwegian Spirit at one of their specialty restaurants. This one was at their steak restaurant named Cagney's. The dinner took place once we left Belize on our way to Cozumel, Mexico. Sang, Danielle, Lingo, Chach, Rich and myself enjoyed our meals of divine meat (and whatever veggie crap Agunzo had) along with a nice bottle of wine. There was a long wait for the check once Dan was done consuming his weight in meat but other than that it was an awesome TND.

As for tomorrow the pick will be a place called Bobbique. Here is the address 70 W. Main St Patchogue New York 11772. It is located on Montauk Hwy, near the BrickHouse. I have never had it before but let's give it a go! Here is the website: http://www.bobbique.com/

See you all there!

thai angel

yay i get to pick for real this week!

so my pick is thai angel, a great little thai restaurant in islandia. i've eaten at a lot of different thai places on li and nyc, and this is by far my favorite... it's actually one of my favorite restaurants overall. i was a little hesitant to pick this place because i think it's a little outside of our italian/greek/mexican comfort zone... but if i have to eat another garlic knot i think i'm gonna barf. this place is always getting great reviews in all of the "great places to eat on li" books, and its zagat rated as well. if you've never had thai food before, this place has a lot of different options, some which are similar to chinese food (just to give you an idea). All of the food is made to order, and it tastes so fresh, which i love. the prices are pretty normal... not cheap, but not expensive either.

see all of you tonight :O)
